3. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our service. All data is provided and consented to by the parent or guardian during sign-up.

3.1 Account Information

  • Email Address — the parent or guardian’s email, used to create and manage the account and for login authentication.
  • Password — used to secure the account. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form and are never stored as plain text.
  • Child’s Name — used to personalise the child’s in-app learning experience.

3.2 Payment Information

Payments and subscription management are handled by RevenueCat, a third-party payment processing service. We do not directly collect or store payment card details. RevenueCat may collect and process:

  • Purchase history
  • Subscription status
  • Device identifiers for transaction verification

Please refer to RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy for more information.

4. How We Use the Information

  • Account creation, login, and authentication (parent or guardian)
  • Personalising the child’s in-app learning experience using their name
  • Managing subscriptions and purchases
  • Sending account-related communications to the parent or guardian (e.g. password resets)
  • Improving the safety and quality of our app

We do not use any data collected from or about children for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating and improving the app.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data and your child’s data are stored securely on our servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as the account remains active. If a parent or guardian requests account deletion, we will delete all associated personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by applicable law.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal data. We do not share children’s personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With RevenueCat, solely for payment and subscription processing.
  • With service providers who assist us in operating our app, under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • If required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.

8. Ephemeral Processing

None of the data we collect is processed ephemerally. All personal data (email, child’s name) and payment data (via RevenueCat) is stored persistently to provide ongoing app functionality and authentication.

9. Parental Rights and Controls

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

  • Review the personal information we have collected about your child
  • Request correction of any inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your child’s account and all associated personal data
  • Withdraw consent at any time by contacting us

A parent or guardian may withdraw their consent at any time by contacting us at sales@babybee.sg. Upon withdrawal, we will cease processing the child’s personal data and delete the account and all associated data within a reasonable timeframe. Please note that withdrawal of consent will result in the child no longer being able to use the app.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify parents or guardians by updating the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification or email. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
